A heartwarming comedy with a serious core, Wreckquiem tells the story of failed musician Dessie, owner of a secondhand record shop under threat of demolition as a shiny new shopping centre promises sweeping changes. ‘Dessie’s Discs’ is a sanctuary for an assortment of music-loving misfits who now find themselves squarely in the path of ‘progress’.
Directed by Decadent Theatre’s Andrew Flynn (The Hangman, Sive) Wreckquiem features a stellar cast including Pat Shortt (Garage, The Banshees Of Inisherin), Joan Sheehy (An Cailíín Ciúin, Pigtown), David Pearse (The Banshees Of Inisherin, Vikings) and Mark O’Regan (Angela’s Ashes, The Commitments).
