Under Milk Wood
A Rehearsed Reading
Written by Dylan Thomas. Presented by The Gaff
As part of its fundraising campaign for a new company home on Edward St., The GAFF, presents a rehearsed reading of Dylan Thomas’ poetic masterpiece Under Milk Wood.
An omniscient narrator invites the audience to listen to the dreams and innermost thoughts of the inhabitants of a fictional Welsh fishing town. The retired sea captain yearning for his lost love, the landlady living in terror of her guests, a father who can no longer access his memories…
Under Milk Wood is described by Dylan Thomas as ‘a play for voices,’ it is a unique and touching depiction of a village that has ‘fallen head over bells in love’.
This rehearsed reading will feature members of Limerick’s theatre community.
