The Bell Ringer by Charlie McCarthy premiered in the Schoolyard Theatre in Charleville in 2023 and was rapturously received by audiences and critics alike. It had a sold-out four-week run and the Irish Times gave it a 5 star review, describing it as

This pitch perfect production, will be a central event in the Centenary Commemoration programme, bringing a story full of historical and emotional resonance home to Dromcollogher.
Performed by two incredibly talented actors, Susannah de Wrixon and Patrick Ryan, who portray twenty-five characters, The Bell Ringer will be performed in the Community Hall in Dromcollogher.
