As part of the launch of Talking TYA Research Network, Glasgow-based live artist, Ivor MacAskill will discuss his project- Gendersaurus Rex, which explores gender, feminism, sexuality, queerness and difference, as they relate to the field of live performance for children.
Talking TYA Research Network brings together theatre practitioners and researchers with an interest in researching Theatre for Young Audiences across the island of Ireland.
The network will celebrate a diversity of perspectives: scholars’, higher education institutions’, arts and cultural organisations’, artists’, and artist-researchers’, all those who share a common interest in generating knowledge about TYA through critical reflection.
The aim of the network is to provide opportunities for research exchange and collaboration, and to provide a supportive environment for those involved in researching the creation, performance and reception of theatre made for children.
Please note that this is an event for grown-ups as part of the Bualadh Bos Children’s Festival.
