This workshop offers an insight into the production of songs in multiple styles including Hip-Hop, Pop, Jazz and Blues. Danny will break down how to structure a song and why he chooses the chords and loops, how to equalize, use plug ins and the theory behind it all.

Danny plays for Hazey Haze, MuRli, Citrus Fresh, Denise Chaila, God Knows, Eve’s Record Box and many more Limerick artists. Danny has an album in the works with GodWin, on which he will be an executive producer as well as instrumentalist. The album is set for release after the summer 2021. He is also working on an upcoming piece with producer MuRli for artist Denise Chaila. In his spare time, he is writing a book on his jazz music writing process. Danny also holds a certificate in pedagogy and has taught music to a range of levels in the past.

He has played with a huge range of artists including Lost Boys, Ayelle, Jadu Heart, MZKA, whattodooffline, FOREST, Highway Children Blue Trio, The Barrow Boys, and Che Guevara Lynch Jukebox to name a few. Along with countless Irish appearances, he has performed on multiple UK and US tours, including a 2 week American East Coast tour, and performances at UK & Irish festivals every year since 2015.

In a new innovative approach to programming, twenty-one young curators have been engaged by the Nasc venues to programme a festival of work for children and young people from 11th to 20th June 2021, delivering for the first time, a national arts programme curated entirely by young people.

Lasta is based on an original project conceived and delivered by Backstage Theatre, Longford in 2020

The participating NASC Network Venues are Backstage (Longford), An Grianán (Letterkenny), glór (Ennis), Siamsa Tíre (Tralee), The Pavilion Theatre (Dún Laoghaire), Lime Tree Theatre (Limerick), Dunamaise Arts Centre (Port Laoise), Town Hall Theatre (Galway).
