Coláiste Chiaráin is delighted to announce their forthcoming musical production Newsies Jnr. Renowned for their remarkable performances of musical theatre, some previous Coláiste Chiaráin’s musicals include; “The Addams Family”, “Hairspray”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “We Will Rock U” and many more.
Newsies Jnr. follows a group of spirited New York City newsboys in 1899 who make a living selling newspapers on the streets. When powerful publishers raise the price the boys must pay for their papers, charismatic leader Jack Kelly rallies the “newsies” to strike.

With the help of newcomer Davey, his younger brother Les, and intrepid reporter Katherine, the newsies unite child laborers across the city to fight for fair treatment. Filled with wonderful songs such as “Santa Fea” and “Carrying the Banner” this is a show not to be missed.
Newsies Jnr. will be a production to remember as it will once again showcase the immense musical talent which Coláiste Chiárain has to offer. With Director Des Henn, Barbara Meany, (Choreographer) and Michael Young (Musical Director), along with an incredible cast and crew, we are determined to stage an unmissable performance.
