One of Ireland’s most celebrated singers, RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Singer of the Year 2022, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh brings together a star studded line-up.
This concert performance features a selection of Ireland’s most loved sean nós songs, from Muireann’s critically acclaimed release Róisín ReImagined, instrumental dance music and, of course, the cultural rhythms and creative energy of Muireann’s native West Kerry.
Joining her are leading producer & Oriel musician Dónal O’Connor on fiddle & keyboards, Ireland’s premier traditional harper & composer Michael Rooney from Monaghan, renowned Belfast Cellist Neil Martin, legendary Dublin uilleann piper Mick O’Brien and young Conamara Sean Nós Dancer & concertina player Becky Ní Éallaithe.
Muireann is a renowned artist with a proven record of performance, recording and innovation, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh is a multi-award winning traditional singer and musician from Corca Dhuibhne, West Kerry. Muireann is a leading exponent of the sean nós style, and loves to engage with audiences to share her love of the Irish song tradition. Her childhood in West Kerry saw her immersed in a rich cultural environment and vital living tradition. This was to be hugely influential on the foundation of her distinctive vocal and instrumental sound.
