The performance will be preceded by “The Banshee Lives in The Handball Alley”, a 25 minute compilation of the folklore project carried out in schools of the Island and Moyross by Michael Fortune and Aileen Lambert for EVA+ 2004. Hazey remembers the film crew coming into the school – he was two years below the classes featured.
The Banshees of the Handball Alley is generously supported by EVA International.
Lasta Festival 2024 is curated by Belltable’s Young Curators Annie Brown and Erin Fitzgerald.
