Professor Veronica O’Keane is an Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin. She has had a distinguished career in psychiatry, contributing significantly to both clinical practice and academic research. Her work has focused on the interface between psychiatry and neuroscience, exploring how brain function relates to mental health disorders. She is also known for her writings that bridge the gap between scientific research and public understanding of mental health. She has written over 100 original scientific paper and a book on memory, The Rag and Bone Shop (Allen Lane, Penguin, 2021).
